Linda Lahr,
co-teaching with Jessica Harwood

Linda earned a BS in Medical Laboratory Science from ETSU and a Masters of Science from California State University.

At ETSU and then at NSCC, she directed and instructed in a nationally accredited program for Clinical Laboratory Science which trained individuals to perform complex medical laboratory tests and communicate these results to the ordering physicians.

After 30 years in the Healthcare Industry, her passion passion post retirement is to administer and develop Agape Christian Mission in Haiti. The purpose of the mission is to bring Hope and Healing to those in need in the country of Haiti.

She is one of the few local people credentialed to offer a National Registry Program in Phlebotomy certification, through the American Society of Clinical Pathology. She is currently teaching a Phlebotomy certification class, which she has taught and directed for many years.

Jessica Harwood will co-teach this class with Linda Lahr. Jessica is a graduate of the Medical Laboratory Science program which Linda directed at NSCC. Jessica is a licensed Medical Laboratory Technician with over 5 years of experience; she has taught Continuing Education courses for hospital employees.

Linda is an active member at First Christian Church, which so graciously hosts our Bristol Academy classes. Jessica is a member of Avoca Christian Church.
